I was expecting a poll about the best and worst mothers day church services ever. This is much sweeter. Hope your mothers day goes well.

Well, your idea is certainly a welcome one for the comments. I read one over at BCC (IIRC) where someone admitted giving a Mother’s Day talk scolding all the women who worked and telling them to go home. Ouch!

My love language is words of affirmation, so I love notes about things that have been meaningful to them. But chocolate is always good. ;)

These all sound better than the ward I was in where one year all the women got a book on better time management. That did not go over well.

I voted for doing all the cooking and other work around the house for the day, because, when my children were young, that was what I always wanted more than anything, just one day off, but I never got it. Now that my children are grown, I guess my favorite gift from them is a card or phone call. A little chocolate tucked in would be wonderful too.
And yes, Alice, the ERA would be the best gift of all!

Bonnie – that’s my Love Language too. I actually talked about the 5 Love Languages in my Mothers Day talk at church today.
